Here’s how to make kairi ka panna at home



Summers are here and for households across India are prepping to beat the heat with various home made summer drinks and concoctions that are meant to cool the body down. Some of the most common Indian summer drinks are shikanji made from lime juice, aam ka panna made from ripe mango pulp, lassi made from sweetened curd, chhas or buttermilk made from spiced curd and jaljeera made from tamarind juice and cumin powder (jeera). These drinks are usually prepared in large quantities and stored in refrigerator for serving cool to family and guests during summers.

Mangoes being the King of Fruits are available during summers and are the perfect fruits for yummy summer preparations like juices, smoothies and desserts. Raw mangoes are also used in preparing summer drinks. Kairi ka panna is enjoyed by everyone during summers and it has a cooling effect on the body. Raw mangoes have a lot of benefits including prevention of indigestion and constipation.

Raw mangoes are rich in Vitamins A and C, calcium, iron and 82% of magnesium which is vital for the extraction of wastes in the body. Given below is the recipe for Kairi ka Panna, or Kairi ki Shikanji, which also has tulsi (also known as the Holy Basil) seeds in it. The seeds are a detoxifying agent and are also antibacterial and antiviral in nature.

Kairi ki Shikanji (Kairi ka Panna) Recipe


Ingredients :

Raw Mango: 6-8 no.

Salt to taste

Sugar: 20 gms

Tulsi seeds: 05 gms

Method :

1. Peel raw mango and grate the pulp and squeeze all juice from mango

pulp .

2. Add salt and sugar to mango juice and add soaked tulsi seeds and

serve chilled.
